Installation

Installing the Pipe Vent Shield is an easy process that takes less than half the time of the standard repair process. Follow these installation instructions for a simple, long lasting solution to what could be a major water damage problem.

  1. Determine the size of the vent pipe.

The Pipe Vent Shield is adjustable from one to four inches and works in conjunction with the existing pipe flange. Measure the diameter of the pipe vent on your roof. Standard pipe vents come in five diameters (1″, 1.5″, 2″, 3″ and 4″).

  2. Use a utility knife and score the ring of the desired size.

Cut by following the marked and scored lines on the inside of the Pipe Vent Shield that match the diameter of your pipe vent. Then pull away the unneeded part of the Pipe Vent Shield.

  3. Slide the Pipe Vent Shield down the vent pipe until it rests firmly against the roof shingles and completely covers the existing pipe flange.

It’s that easy.
