Measure the diameter of the pipe vent on your roof. Standard pipe vents come in five diameters (1", 1.5", 2", 3" and 4").

Using a utility knife simple cut the Pipe Vent Shield opening to the desired diameter using the marked and scored lines on the inside of the Pipe Vent Shield.

Step 3

Place the Pipe Vent Shield over the top of the pipe and slide it down until it rests flush on the roof shingles or tiles.
